Justin Haseltine, MD
Radiation Oncologist
My Role at MSKWe post reviews for MSK healthcare providers who have at least 30 patient experience surveys completed. If you do not see reviews for a provider, it may be because they do not yet have enough survey responses, or the provider may not be part of the group of healthcare providers included in the survey.
Only outpatient providers are included in the survey. Healthcare providers who only work in the hospital or in urgent care are not included in the survey. Pathologists or researchers who do not provide direct care to patients do not have reviews.

About Me
- Assistant Attending Radiation Oncologist
I am a board-certified radiation oncologist specializing in the treatment of metastatic cancers of the spine, brain, and other areas, as well as primary genitourinary cancers, such as prostate, bladder, and testicular cancers.
To manage spine metastases, I work in close collaboration with an excellent team of neurosurgeons, interventional radiologists, physiatrists, medical physicists, nurses, and radiation therapists. Together, we ensure that each patient has a carefully constructed treatment plan designed to best serve their particular needs. When using radiation to treat cancer in the spine, prostate, and other sites, we use advanced techniques such as intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT), image-guided radiotherapy (IGRT), and stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) to deliver the dose of radiation as precisely as possible.

When I see patients in the clinic, I understand that our meeting often comes at a very vulnerable time. Listening to my patients and tailoring the disease management plan to their individual concerns and care goals is critical. It is also a top priority of mine to clearly convey the reasons behind our recommendations and adjust as needed to accommodate special circumstances. Our whole team is geared toward making the treatment experience as seamless as possible.
I am involved in cancer clinical trials and have a particular interest in using molecular biomarkers to detect cancer and guide treatment across the continuum of cancer care. Outside of the office, I enjoy walks with my family and our dog, tending to our houseplants, and making ice cream. I am always looking for new podcast recommendations.
A radiation oncologist is a cancer doctor with special training in using radiation therapy (RT) to treat cancer with radiation.

Doctors and faculty members often work with pharmaceutical, device, biotechnology, and life sciences companies, and other organizations outside of MSK, to find safe and effective cancer treatments, to improve patient care, and to educate the health care community.
MSK requires doctors and faculty members to report (“disclose”) the relationships and financial interests they have with external entities. As a commitment to transparency with our community, we make that information available to the public.
