My translational research in cancer genomics involves the creation and development of necessary clinical assays derived from molecular biology innovations. These clinical assessments are able to identify the nucleic acid alterations within human cancers that are used by pathologists and oncologists to genetically diagnose cancers (molecular diagnostics), to assist in patient-personalized treatment decisions (therapeutic guidance), and to establish a prognosis (prognostic stratification).
My primary goal is to make a difference in the care and treatment of our cancer patients.
