Get to Know Me

I am a board-certified ophthalmologist with additional training in ophthalmic oncology. I care for people with cancers of the eye as well as those whose vision has been affected by cancer or its treatment. I see patients at Memorial Hospital, the main hospital at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK), and the Rockefeller Outpatient Pavilion in New York City.

As a third-generation ophthalmologist, I developed an intuitive understanding from an early age that vision is a gift, not to be taken for granted. I’m honored to carry forward my family tradition of caring for sight.

For my patients, I strive to be a partner, helping them navigate the complexities of their illness. My goal is to not only address medical needs but also to recognize the emotional and practical challenges associated with conditions that may affect or threaten vision.

I am committed to working together with patients and their families, and also experts across different teams at MSK to make sure we deliver the best care.

Earlier in my career, I worked as a management consultant advising biopharmaceutical companies on drug development. This gave me an understanding of the complexities of our healthcare system. It also opened my eyes to the many daily challenges patients may face on their journey, and enhanced my ability to offer holistic support.

In my spare time, I enjoy playing tennis, reading fiction, and exploring New York City with my husband, daughter, and miniature goldendoodle.

What I Do at MSK

I'm an ophthalmic (of-THAL-mik) oncologist, which is a cancer doctor with special training in eye cancers. This includes eye melanoma and retinoblastoma.

Disclosures

Members of the MSK Community often work with pharmaceutical, device, biotechnology, and life sciences companies, and other organizations outside of MSK, to find safe and effective cancer treatments, to improve patient care, and to educate the health care community. These activities outside of MSK further our mission, provide productive collaborations, and promote the practical application of scientific discoveries.

MSK requires doctors, faculty members, and leaders to report (“disclose”) the relationships and financial interests they have with external entities. As a commitment to transparency with our community, we make that information available to the public. Not all disclosed interests and relationships present conflicts of interest. MSK reviews all disclosed interests and relationships to assess whether a conflict of interest exists and whether formal COI management is needed.
