About Me

I am a radiologist with expertise in interventional radiology and breast imaging. I serve people with cancer at various Memorial Sloan Kettering locations.

Interventional radiology uses minimally invasive techniques to diagnose and treat people with cancer. I treat many types of cancers. This includes breast cancer, colon cancer, liver cancer, lung cancer, uterine cancer, soft tissue cancer, and urinary tract cancer. I do image-guided biopsy, embolization, radioembolization, and ablation procedures.

I also care for people with cancer who have vascular problems. I do procedures such as thrombolysis, thrombectomy, angioplasty, and stenting to help diagnose and treat vascular disorders. I have special certification from the American Board of Vascular Medicine.

I am a member of the Breast Disease Management Team. Using both interventional radiology and breast imaging, we provide people with the best available care. Breast imaging focuses on the diagnosis and management of breast cancer. I provide care for people with breast cancer using mammograms, ultrasound, MRI, image-guided biopsies, and ablations.

My research has two parts. The first is developing the best way to manage the vascular disorders that may arise during cancer treatment or follow-up care. The second is the diagnosis and minimally invasive treatment of breast cancer. Breast cancer management is always changing. The goal of my work is to move towards less invasive and more effective treatments.

I am inspired every day by the patients I serve. They teach me more about strength, purpose, and love than I could ever hope to learn elsewhere.

Clinical Trials

As home to one of the world’s top cancer research centers, Memorial Sloan Kettering is typically involved in more than 900 clinical trials at a given time. Currently, clinical trials focused on the conditions I treat are enrolling new patients. Most major health insurers offer plans that include MSK as one of their in-network providers. If MSK is in-network, it means all our doctors are too. Medicaid and New York State Medicare also provide benefits for care at MSK.
