I joined Memorial Sloan Kettering as an oncology nurse in 2005 and became a nurse practitioner in 2011. I became an oncology nurse, and eventually a nurse practitioner, because I wanted to be able to care for my patients in a way that would bring them comfort, ease, and confidence while battling a difficult situation.
Over the years, I have had the opportunity to help care for patients with hematologic malignancies, including leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, and amyloidosis. I have been involved in planning and implementing the plan of care for individual patients, providing education and counseling as well as emotional and psychological support.
I am originally from Florida and moved to New York after graduating from the University of Florida.
