I am a social worker who cares for people with cancers of the liver, gallbladder, and bile ducts (hepatobiliary). I also care for people who have gastrointestinal cancers, including stomach cancer.
I provide support to patients admitted to Memorial Hospital, the main hospital at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK).
When patients meet with me, we discuss a wide range of concerns. This includes handling a cancer diagnosis, their needs before and after surgery, coping with cancer in the context of family or children, and end-of-life support.
