I am a Physician Assistant (PA) who has worked for more than 15 years on the Head and Neck Service at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK), as part of the team caring for people with thyroid nodules and thyroid cancer.
For several years, I have also co-led MSK’s Thyroid Nodule Assessment Program, and have focused my efforts on thyroid nodules and disorders. My responsibility is to help patients understand their diagnosis, order and interpret laboratory and imaging tests to investigate further, and to help patients decide on the best course of action through shared decision-making.
I work with patients independently and in collaboration with MSK surgeons. When patients first meet with me, they are often anxious and have questions about the chance that their thyroid nodules will develop into cancer. I spend time reviewing reports, discussing clinical practice guidelines, and our protocols for surveillance.
My goal is to be clear and concise so that my patients feel informed and supported every step of the way. To increase our reach of care, I see patients both in-person and via telehealth. This program has been incredibly rewarding for me, and I will continue to work to provide the best possible care for you.
