Venecia is a Clinical Research Coordinator working to support Dr. Hamilton and Dr. Hay on several of their projects in their research portfolio. Prior to joining the team, Venecia was a Surgical Case and Care Coordinator for the Breast and Imaging Center at MSK working to assist breast surgeons Dr. Giacomo Montagna and Dr. Alexandra Heerdt with their clinical practices. She received a Bachelor of Science in Public Health, with a minor in psychology, from Rutgers University. During her time at Rutgers, she had the opportunity to become a research and community outreach intern at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School specializing on screening patients for social determinants of health and care gaps. For her future academic endeavors, Venecia hopes to attain her MD and MPH to continue to serve underprivileged communities. Outside of work, Venecia likes to watch movies, watch Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations, and spend time with loved ones.
