I am a physician assistant (PA) with more than 20 years of experience. I care for people at MSK Monmouth and MSK Basking Ridge.

At Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK), I manage the Pancreatic Cyst Surveillance Program, one of the largest of its kind in the United States. We monitor patients in this program in person and virtually through telemedicine visits for changes in their pancreatic cysts. Such changes could point to early signs of cancer and the need for treatment.

When patients first meet with me, they are often anxious and have many questions about the chance that their pancreatic cyst will develop into cancer. I also see people who have a confirmed diagnosis of pancreatic cancer. We talk about their treatment options, quality of life, and recovery. My goal is to honestly and clearly answer questions so my patients feel informed and supported every step of the way.

Before joining MSK, I worked in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit at St. John’s Catholic Medical Center for 14 years. I graduated from the Long Island University/Brooklyn Hospital Physician Assistant Program in 1994. Throughout my career, I have cared for people in many different medical areas, including urology, plastic surgery, and pain management.

I was the first PA hired at MSK’s regional sites in New Jersey, where I launched the Pre-Surgical Testing Service. Presurgical evaluation involves a review of patient’s clinical history, recent test results, other health conditions, and a physical examination to assess their overall health status. We use this information to guide patients preparing for surgery and to find and address problems that might lead to complications.

I also started the Urology Independent Clinic at MSK Basking Ridge. This active surveillance program follows men with elevated prostate specific antigen (PSA) levels or early, slow-growing prostate cancer. In this program, we look for changes in the tumor that may signal the need for additional treatment.

Outside of work, I enjoy traveling with my family. I especially love visiting Paris, my favorite city in the world. We also enjoy hiking in national parks and skiing in Utah, Colorado, Canada, and Europe.
