Divya Ajay, MD, MPH
Urologic Surgeon
My Role at MSKWe post reviews for MSK healthcare providers who have at least 30 patient experience surveys completed. If you do not see reviews for a provider, it may be because they do not yet have enough survey responses, or the provider may not be part of the group of healthcare providers included in the survey.
Only outpatient providers are included in the survey. Healthcare providers who only work in the hospital or in urgent care are not included in the survey. Pathologists or researchers who do not provide direct care to patients do not have reviews.

I am a reconstructive urologist specializing in cancer survivorship. I help patients with urologic side effects they may face during or after cancer treatment. This includes managing symptoms like:
- Difficulty emptying the bladder
- Urinary incontinence (leakage)
- Urethral or ureteral stricture disease (Scar tissue blocking the urinary tubes)
- Pelvic organ prolapse (when pelvic muscles can no longer support organs in the pelvic area)
- Complex fistulae (an abnormal connection between two body parts)

I take a patient-centered approach to helping patients improve their quality of life. I believe in working with patients and their oncology teams to develop personalized treatment plans that involve experts across areas at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer.
Cancer can be a complicated and overwhelming experience. To that end, I strive to provide my patients with compassionate, holistic care that addresses their needs.
I have various research interests that complement my clinical work. These include patient-reported outcomes in reconstructive urology, creating patient aids for shared decision-making, making operating rooms more environmentally friendly, and improving the telemedicine experience.
Outside the office, I enjoy spending time with my family and traveling.
A urologic surgeon is a doctor with special training in surgery on the genitourinary (jeh-nih-toh-YOOR-ih-nayr-ee) (GU) system. This includes the bladder, kidney, penis, prostate, and testicles.
