Get to Know Me

I am a neuro-oncologist specializing in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of central nervous system (CNS) tumors, including brain metastases.

The research that I conduct is focused on improving health equity by expanding access to genetic testing, increasing clinical trial diversity, and addressing financial toxicity in the healthcare system. My mission to eliminate health disparities stems from the tragic passing of my eldest brother, who died from a preventable pulmonary embolism and whose care was impacted by his immigrant and socioeconomic status. Following his death in 2008, I pursued a career in medicine and received my medical degree from Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta.

I trained in neurology and neuro-oncology at Harvard within the Mass General Brigham and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute system. During my fellowship training, I was also selected as a Commonwealth Fund Fellow in Minority Health Policy and completed a Master of Public Health in Health Policy at Harvard.

As a native New Yorker who grew up in Queens, it is a great honor to return home to serve patients here at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. In addition to my clinical work and research, I am also the Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Anti-racism, and Social Justice (IDEAS) editor for the Neurology journal.

When I am not working in the hospital, I enjoy traveling with my wife and rooting for the New York Knicks.
