Liver Metastases Clinical Trials

Clinical trials at Memorial Sloan Kettering may give you access to new therapies that aren’t widely available. These research studies evaluate the safety and effectiveness of new ways to diagnose and treat liver metastases. They can also give your treatment team information about your current plan of care.

Our researchers are evaluating a variety of new and experimental chemotherapy drugs to see how well they treat liver metastases tumors with specific genetic mutations.

Researchers want to see how well botensilimab and balstilimab immunotherapy works in people who were treated for colorectal cancer. The people in this study were diagnosed with either colon cancer or colorectal liver metastases (cancer that spread to the liver).
Researchers want to see if a single radiation therapy dose can limit the growth of colorectal cancer liver metastases. The people in this study have colorectal cancer that has metastasized (spread) to the liver. The treatment is called high-dose stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT).
When some cancers become advanced, particularly colorectal cancer, they may spread to the liver. Destroying the tissue with electromagnetic waves that produce extremely high temperatures, a procedure called "thermal ablation," is one way to treat these liver metastases.
