MSK Radiation Oncology: A Premier Training Site
MSK Radiation Oncology is proud to be an official training site for the American Brachytherapy Society (ABS) “300 in 10” Initiative.
The “300 in 10” program is a landmark national effort to train 300 high-quality brachytherapists over the next decade. As a designated site, MSK offers an intensive 2-month clinical fellowship designed for PGY-4 and PGY-5 residents, as well as early-career radiation oncologists, looking to achieve procedural competency in complex brachytherapy.
Program Highlights at MSK
- Comprehensive Procedural Volume: Fellows train in high-volume settings for both HDR GYN and HDR/LDR Prostate brachytherapy.
- Expert Mentorship: Work directly with MSK’s world-renowned faculty, including Dr. Marisa Kollmeier (Program Director) and Dr. Daniel Gorovets (Associate Program Director), to master real-time planning and MRI-guided techniques.
- Integrated Learning: Fellows participate in our dedicated brachytherapy suites and operating rooms, gaining hands-on experience in everything from interstitial applications to intraoperative radiation therapy (IORT).
Application & Eligibility
This fellowship follows the ABS-standardized curriculum and application process.
- Duration: 2 Months
- Target Audience: PGY-4/PGY-5 Residents or recent graduates.
