Educational Internship Program: Department of Radiation Oncology
The Department of Radiation Oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering (MSK) invites high school and undergraduate students to apply for our Educational Internship Program. This program offers an immersive, non-clinical experience in a world-renowned cancer translational environment.
Program Experience
Participants are paired with a dedicated mentor to gain firsthand observation and educational insights in a highly supported environment. All activities are conducted under complete supervision to ensure a safe and enriching experience.
Areas of Focus include:
- Retrospective data analysis and data collection.
- Laboratory research and departmental analysis workflows.
- Clinical discussions and the fundamentals of how research is conducted.
- Educational meetings and professional networking within the MSK community.
Professional Development
Beyond departmental observation, interns participate in curated events hosted by the Office of Research and Development. Through these sessions and specialized online learning modules, students gain unique insights into translational medicine and the life of a scientist dedicated to improving patient outcomes.
Eligibility & Requirements
- Eligibility: Current High School through Undergraduate students.
- Compensation: This is an unpaid internship. Participants do not receive a stipend; the program is designed solely for the educational benefit of the student.
