Biosafety
Our Biosafety Service provides and enforces a safe, healthful work environment for staff. The Biosafety Officers maintain chemical inventories from all clinical research laboratories and core facilities that use or store hazardous chemicals.
Office of Clinical Research (OCR)
The Office of Clinical Research’s mission is to support the highest quality program of clinical research at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center through central management, standardized practice, and oversight. The OCR strives to ensure that clinical research policies and procedures adhere to existing research standards as well as federal regulations.

Compliance
The Compliance Office exists to help Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center prevent, detect, and correct healthcare fraud, waste, and abuse. The Compliance Office is also responsible for ensuring that all Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center staff are aware of their compliance responsibilities and understand that ensuring compliance and reporting suspected noncompliance are part of their job. In addition the office assists staff in understanding the billing process and compliance risks in specific departments.

Institutional Review Board (IRB)
Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center’s Institutional Review Board (IRB) protects the rights and welfare of human research participants. Proposals and awards involving human subjects research require IRB review and approval before any research activities can begin. The NIH requires documentation of IRB review and approval prior to the release of award funds used for human subjects research activities.
