Isabel Pagán-López is a recent graduate from Columbia University, where she majored in Neuroscience and Behavior with a minor in Hispanic Studies on a pre-med track. During her time at Columbia, she worked in the Carol Prives laboratory as a research assistant to a PhD candidate, where they studied gene mutations and their relationship to cancer progression, specifically breast and pancreatic cancer. Moreover, she is a proud Latina, born and raised in Puerto Rico, trying to help her community receive the care and attention that it deserves in the medical field. For this reason, she is extremely excited to work as a Clinical Research Coordinator in Dr. Hamilton’s study (“Prospective trial of a linguistically and culturally appropriate mainstreaming model for hereditary cancer multigene panel testing among diverse cancer patients”) where she can help progress both passions of hers.
