Memorial Sloan-Kettering researchers pursue basic and clinical research to advance the ability to prevent, control, and cure cancer. Ongoing research at the Sloan-Kettering Institute, the basic research arm of the Center, is yielding new insights into the biology of cancer.

The Office of Industrial Affairs is responsible for protecting and licensing inventions developed by Center investigators, obtaining industrial funding for laboratories, and negotiating and reviewing private consulting agreements.
