
2014 First-Year PhD Students
The Gerstner Sloan Kettering Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences welcomed its ninth class of PhD students on July 21, 2014. The nine students are Steven Albanese, Jacob A. Boyer, Christopher Hulton, Nayan Jain, Nicholas F. Kuhn, Xiaoyi Li, Michelle M.E. Riegman, Benjamin Y. Tischler, and Yuchen Xie.
The new GSK class comes from Columbia University, Cornell University, Indian Institute of Technology Madras, Julius-Maximilian’s University of Wurzbürg, Northeastern University, Pennsylvania State University, Tsinghua University, and University College Utrecht.
The new arrivals participated in a weeklong orientation to get on board with housing and administration and the MSK community. They were welcomed by GSK faculty, students, and staff at a reception on July 21. The orientation culminated with a dinner cruise on July 26; the students began their first lab rotation on July 28.
