At Memorial Sloan Kettering, our support groups and programs for people with cancer and their loved ones provide a helpful in-person forum for connecting with others who are going through or have been through similar experiences.

Meetings occur in various locations throughout Memorial Sloan Kettering, including on each inpatient floor. The support groups are run by licensed social workers and nurses with expertise and training that can help you and your family cope with adjusting to cancer emotionally and physically.

Our disease-specific support groups touch on dealing with issues such as fatigue, isolation, and concerns about the future. Participants are encouraged to share experiences or simply gather information.

Disease-specific support groups are also available for cancer survivors through our Survivorship Center.

Our Patient-to-Patient and Caregiver-to-Caregiver Volunteer Program connects current patients and caregivers one-on-one with people who’ve been through a similar diagnosis and treatment and understand your challenges and worries. All MSK patients and caregivers are eligible to participate.

If you prefer to participate in an online forum, our Virtual Programs offer multiple opportunities for connecting.
