Life on the Upper East Side
Life as an MSK fellow extends well beyond the hospital. Most incoming fellows are eligible for MSK housing within walking distance of the medical center. Living on the Upper East Side means having some of the city’s best resources practically outside your door. The neighborhood is packed with world-class museums — the Met, the Guggenheim, and the Frick are all nearby — along with a great mix of coffee shops, restaurants, and quiet streets that make it easy to unwind. Whether it is a walk along the East River, an afternoon in Central Park, or dinner with co-fellows at a neighborhood restaurant, the Upper East Side offers a welcoming safe place to live, learn, and build lasting friendships — all while keeping the rest of New York City within easy reach.
