Alessandro Criscimanna is an Italian physician-scientist working as a research fellow in the Shouval Laboratory at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. He is completing his residency in Hematology at IRCCS San Raffaele Scientific Institute in Milan, where his training has centered on the clinical management of patients with acute leukemias and those undergoing allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation and cellular therapies.
In the Shouval Lab, his research focuses on clinical and biological determinants of outcomes following CAR T-cell therapy and allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation. His current work investigates the factors that shape treatment response and complications after CAR T-cell therapy, as well as disease evolution following allogeneic transplantation. Through these projects, he aims to integrate clinical and molecular data with computational approaches to better understand treatment failure and inform risk-adapted strategies in cellular therapy and transplantation.
