Hematologist and Physician-Scientist
Education
Alfonso Martín Escudero Foundation Fellowship; Best Oral Presentation, Spanish Group for Hematopoietic Transplantation and Cell Therapy (GETH), 2024; PhD awarded Cum Laude, University of Navarra, 2024

Candela Ceballos is a hematologist and physician-scientist currently working as a postdoctoral visiting investigator at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. She completed her training in Hematology and Hemotherapy at the University Hospital of Navarra and subsequently obtained a PhD from the University of Navarra, focused on the development and optimization of CAR T-cell therapies for acute myeloid leukemia.

Before joining MSK, she worked as an attending hematologist at Donostia University Hospital in the allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation program.

Her research interests focus on the role of host immune and inflammatory states in cancer, hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, and cellular therapies, and their association with treatment outcomes and toxicity.
