The Office of Entrepreneurship and Commercialization (OEC) manages the MSK Commercialization Ecosystem, which includes a world-class portfolio of entrepreneurship opportunities, intellectual property, and other technology advances across an extensive range of life sciences, digital health, and related healthcare portfolios.
OEC’s mission is to ensure that MSK innovation is developed and applied for the common good. We pursue this mission in partnership with MSK’s institution-wide community of innovators—while building productive relationships with companies, investors, and academic-research institutions throughout the global healthcare sector.
In a continuously evolving environment defined by global healthcare needs, regulatory shifts, economic challenges, and other variables, our team of technology and business development experts is open for business.

Our Staff
OEC is staffed an expert team of technology development professionals. They bring rigorous scientific, healthcare, and business backgrounds to the challenges of developing, managing, protecting, and commercializing MSK innovation; facilitating startup creation; partnering with industry; interacting with regulators; and much more.
Yashodhara Dash, MBBS, PhD, MBA
Dr. Yashodhara Dash leads the Office of Entrepreneurship and Commercialization (OEC). As MSK’s Vice President of Entrepreneurship & Commercialization, she supervises OEC’s Life Sciences, Digital Health, Produce Development, and Finance & Operations teams, whose responsibilities include managing MSK intellectual property, supporting technology development, and facilitating new company formation.
While providing strategic oversight for MSK’s expansive life sciences and digital health innovation portfolio, Yashodhara collaborates closely with MSK’s leadership and laboratory and clinical researchers. She is actively committed to nurturing the institution’s culture of innovation, as well as its strong and productive relationships with corporate and investment partners.
Yashodhara joined MSK in 2008 and she has held management positions within OEC since 2014. She holds a PhD in immunology from the University of Connecticut Health center, an MBA from the University of Connecticut, and collaborates an MBBS degree from India’s SCB Medical College.
